On Tuesday, October 3, a bus traveling on a bridge in Venice (Italy) crashed, killing 21 people and injuring 15. On site, the shock is immense for locals and tourists.
Tuesday October 3, the first passers-by rush. Before their eyes, a bus is in flames, it has just crashed to the ground. A few minutes more early on, in images, the vehicle is rolling before suddenly losing control and fall ten meters below. Immediately, a man tries to extricate a child. Vital first aid, as the bus is already on fire. The accident occurred in a town in Venice (Italy)Mestre, on a bridge next to a railway line. The toll was heavy: 21 lifeless bodies were found in the carcass.
A region in mourning
In front of them, a few prayers, before they are taken away by ambulances. “On the one hand, we must now identify the victims and on the other, we must also take care of the injured”explains Luca Zaiathe governor of the Veneto region. The victims received a shock of incredible violence. 15 people are injured. These foreign tourists are spread across five hospitals. The tragedy plunges an entire region into mourning and leaves behind many questions. An investigation was opened by the Venice police to determine the circumstances.
