Another eleven forest massifs prohibited from access this Saturday, July 16, in the Bouches-du-Rhône. The day before, nineteen massifs were already prohibited. The Bouches-du-Rhône prefecture made this decision because of the weather conditions. Indeed, Météo France predicts a heat wave and a strong wind from the Alpilles to the Etang de Berre. These conditions increase the risk of fire, particularly in times of drought.
Alpilles, Trévaresse, Montagnette… Traffic and human presence are prohibited. Montagnette, where a violent fire broke out this Thursday afternoon. The fourteen other massifs of the department remain accessible. Located in the south of the department, they are still subject to restrictions: it is forbidden to do work there after 1 p.m.
