The departments in heat wave vigilance are the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, the Ardèche, the Drôme, the Gard, the Gironde, the Haute-Garonne, the Lot-et-Garonne, the Pyrénées-Orientales, the Tarn, the Tarn -et-Garonne and Vaucluse.
Up to 40 degrees
Minimum temperatures will already be high from the South-West to the Mediterranean with 18 to 23 degrees, or even 24 or 25 near the sea. Elsewhere, they will range from 15 to 19 degrees in general from the North-East to the Center-West, and not more than 10 to 15 degrees from Brittany to the Belgian border.
The maximum will be variable, between 25 and 31 degrees on the northern half, between 30 and 35 from the Charentes in the Center, the Massif Central and the Alps, and between 35 and 38 degrees further south, with still peaks at 39 or 40 degrees in places from the plains of the South-West to Roussillon and Provence.
