The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared her decision on Saturday, November 2, marking more than ten years since she and Edwin tied the knot.
“After much thought and consideration, I have made the challenging choice to file for divorce,” she posted on Instagram. “My main focus is on my children and ensuring their privacy and well-being are prioritized during this new chapter. Publicly addressing this was not my preference, but to shield my family from unnecessary rumors and speculation, I felt it was necessary to be open, honest, and vulnerable.”

Teddi and Edwin are parents to three children: 12-year-old Slate, 10-year-old Cruz, and 4-year-old Dove. In addition, Edwin has a 15-year-old daughter named Isabella from a previous relationship.
As of the latest updates, Edwin has not made any public remarks regarding the divorce filing.
Teddi’s announcement follows just a few months after they celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary. She marked the occasion with a heartfelt Instagram post reflecting on the highs and lows of their journey together.
‘From Paris to the Riviera Maya, it’s been a journey filled with discovery, joy, tears, growth, and partnership,’ she shared in her July 4 post. ‘Although it’s not perfect, we’ve worked hard to shape our marriage into what it is today, and I wouldn’t change a thing.’

While Teddi has not disclosed the specific reasons for her recent decision, she has been candid about the difficulties in her marriage. In an October 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she revealed that her relationship hit a significant low during her debut year on the show (2017).
‘I was 99 percent convinced our marriage wouldn’t survive,’ she stated.
Teddi echoed similar sentiments in a March 2023 episode of Two Ts in a Pod, noting that she began filming RHOBH while considering divorce.
“On my first day of filming, I thought to myself, ‘F–ck, when do I tell everyone I’m getting a divorce? When is the right time?’” she reminisced. “We were at a terrible low, as it was primarily a power struggle for us.”
Initially, Teddi perceived her relationship with Edwin as one of equals, but she began to feel a shift in their dynamic over time.
“I used to ride horses and be competitive, full of life. Then, after struggling with natural conception and undergoing multiple IVF treatments, everything changed,” she shared. “Suddenly, Edwin took charge of our finances, which was a new experience for me. I had always managed my own money since I was 17, and as those changes unfolded, I found myself resenting him… even the smallest things would drive me crazy.”
Edwin corroborated Teddi’s narrative, admitting that he expected a separation after Season 8 of RHOBH concluded.
“I thought we could get through the first season… and then I’d be out,” he said, acknowledging his role in their marital troubles. “It was my fault. I was ready to forsake everything. You might not realize it, but looking back, I see it now.”
