Ce livre m’a donné tellement SENTIMENT.
Premièrement, j’ai tellement honte d’admettre que récemment, je suis tellement têtu, tellement têtu d’avoir tardé à lire Heart of Obsidian. POURQUOI? Parce que je suis tellement énervé quand je lis des spoilers sur qui était The Ghost et cela a gâché mon excitation lorsque le livre est enfin arrivé dans ma main.
Mais ensuite, après avoir lu, je garde dans mon esprit que le noyau de Heart of Obsidian n’était pas qui est le fantôme ?, parce que sa véritable identité n’a plus d’importance pour moi. Heart of Obsidian est l’histoire de deux âmes perdues, de deux cœurs blessés, de deux êtres humains brisés qui franchissent enfin leurs obstacles et ne veulent pas s’abandonner l’un à l’autre. L’histoire d’un double cardinal Psi et également conseiller aux yeux si sombres comme un ciel de minuit nommé Kaleb Krychek et d’une femme qui lui fera détruire le monde juste pour la voir heureuse, Sahara Kyriakus.
Ce livre a commencé si lentement, et le mystère est trop profond, me rend confus et frustré de savoir ce qui se passe exactement entre ces deux. J’ai aussi profondément troublé le comportement de Kaleb envers Sahara dans la première partie. Sa domination me fait crier, me fait « Je ne veux pas lire un autre mâle dominant qui ne respecte pas l’héroïne ! », aussi Sahara semble être une femme douce. Pourtant, au fur et à mesure que l’histoire se dénouait, alors que nous nous aventurions au plus profond de la relation de Kaleb et Sahara et de leur passé, tout son comportement et l’acte de Sahara à son égard avaient un sens. M’a fait comprendre Kaleb, un homme brisé à l’esprit et à l’âme brisés, mais qui se bat toujours pour ce qu’il considérait comme le sien. Sahara aussi, pas une demoiselle en détresse. Elle semble si faible au début à cause de sa captivité, mais à la fin elle montre sa force. J’applaudis Nalini pour avoir traité ce sujet sensible (pour moi !) avec grâce et son beau style d’écriture.
Oh, ai-je oublié de te dire que la prose et les mots de Nalini sont si beaux, parfois ça te fait mal au cœur ? C’est ce qui m’arrive après avoir lu Heart of Obsidian. Alors que la révélation de l’amour de Kaleb et Sahara peut parfois être trop ringard et exagéré, parfois j’avais mal pour les deux. Je suis jalouse de Sahara, d’avoir un homme qui lui est si dévoué. Que Kaleb n’hésite pas à mettre fin au monde, à le déchirer, s’il lui arrivait quelque chose de mal. Une telle fidélité ! Une telle qualité que j’ai rarement trouvée dans les romans d’amour qui avaient autant de thème galvaudé, si vous voyez ce que je veux dire.
Enfin, ahhh, je ne sais plus quoi dire, sauf si vous ne lisez pas Heart of Obsidian, LISEZ-LE AU PLUS VITE ! Achetez votre exemplaire ou empruntez-le en bibliothèque. Si vous l’avez déjà eu, ne vous trompez pas comme moi. Négliger ce livre et passer à côté d’une belle histoire d’amour.
Et, félicitations à Heart of Obsidian pour avoir remporté le Romantic Times Reviewers Award dans la catégorie Paranormal Romance. Je sais que ce livre le mérite. Un autre gardien à coup sûr!

But today, I can’t finally resist to follow The Ghost hijacking Nalini Singh’s twitter, answer some question about him. I believe he do it unwillingly and still full of secrecy. This is what I gather from his (?) tweets :
– He doesn’t understand with friendship concept, even Judd and Xavier believe they are friend.
– He has no family, but related to someone we have met, but the relationship is unknown by others. The relative is male. He will not answer further question about his lineage.
– For him, loyalty is everything, that’s why he trust Judd, because Judd loyal to his family. He will not betray Judd and Xavier (awww!)
– His identity may or may not shock readers. Depend on how we see him (I will not shocked!).
– He does not have tattoo (yes!)
– Two characters know about his identity , one might be Judd. Since Ghost said, that man know who exactly he is.
– The Ghost considered using Sienna for his plan and no, he’s not related to her. He also avoid question about Arrow
– The Ghost have touchy feeling about marriage (lol!), decline any marriage proposal from readers!
– The Ghost is.. virgin!! (woohoo). He never had sex, but it’s a tool he will use if necessary.
– He had broken when he was child.
– His loyalty is to a woman, and his plan seems for this woman too, a woman he met when he was broken.
Now I will imagine Benedict Cumberbatch as Ghost. Yess, he will be perfect Ghost!

So, the hero might be The Ghost, with the candicate are Kaleb, Vasic or Aden (based on discussion on Nalini Singh fans Goodreads Group).
Why its Ghost?
There’s some passage from Kiss of Snow that mention about « Obsidian » (thanks, Lulu!):

According to one of readers, its from Kaleb’s POV. So, Kaleb maybe not Ghost? I believe that Ghost is male, since the cover have man on it. Beside, based on the similarity with Star Trek movie poster (ehm, I don’t know if Nalini is Trekkie or not *cough*) which there’s opinion that in Star Trek (I might be wrong) the character that played by Benerdict Cumberbatch is might be anti-hero, person who regret his wrong doing and become better. So, its can be Kaleb, can be Vasic, can be Aden. OR a new person we never know of?
And I think this one will feature Psy-Psy couple, yay!
