“Zwesche zwei Stüehl”, the Cabaret Bonjour review from the archives of your radio station

Over time, Gaston Goetz germinated the idea of presenting on stage in the form of sketches and songs many anecdotes of all kinds with actors, musicians and singers in vogue at that time. The proposal to create a cabaret, to set up a partly publicity show for the weekly bilingual newspaper Good morning!, got full approval from management. Thus was born the “Hello Cabaret”. The newspaper sponsored and organized a tour of the whole region. The first review was created in October 1947 under the title Oh die Männer! and obtained during about sixty performances an immense success. It was the start of a long career that lasted forty years.

Of the forty or so magazines, more and more satirical from 1968, we will especially remember: S’Geldschlaatab, ZwischezweiStuehl, Hinter’emMond d’Haam, D’Spatzepfiffe’svun by Dächer. In addition to hundreds of sketches and songs, Goetz is also the author of vaudevilles and musicals, the most notable of which are perhaps Mir geht’s lookout ; UnteraanereDeck ; Mit Späckfangt m’r Mieset especially the famous Schneckedänz in Dackeldorf. For more than thirty years, he was the author of numerous radio texts, broadcast as part of the Elsässer Owe, and the oldest regularly broadcast TV show under the title Byuns of Haam. Goetz was for many years animator of carnival evenings, writing many burlesque reviews, as well as the Wine Fair in Colmar and the Beer Festivals in Schiltigheim and Hochfelden.
