“According to initial medical examinations, it appears that I have several torn ligaments in my right foot. I will fly to Germany on Monday to undergo further examinations and determine the best and fastest way to treat myself, ”explained the world N.3 on Instagram, without giving more details on his recovery. .
The 25-year-old German player had to leave the center court of Roland-Garros in a wheelchair after twisting his right ankle during a slip from the baseline. He returned on crutches to confirm his abandonment after several minutes of stoppage of play.
“I will keep you informed as much as possible of the developments”, assures the tall right-hander of 1.98 meters. During the night, he had mentioned a “very serious injury”.
