(Los Angeles) The American duo Wyndham Clark-Beau Hossler retained the lead of the Zurich Classic in New Orleans on Saturday after the third round of this only team tournament on the North American Professional Golf Tour (PGA) .
Clark and Hossler excelled in the alternating shot format, returning a 62 card, 10 under par, with no bogeys, two days after a 61 card in the same format.
With -26 in total, they are one step ahead of the duo Im Sung-jae-Keith Mitchell, who also signed ten birdies on Saturday.
The defending champions, Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele, reigning Olympic champion, respectively fourth and fifth in the world rankings, signed a card of 66, but fell to tenth place (-20).
Notably, Charley Hoffman hit a “hole-in-one” at 9e hole (par 3) at 192 yards, his third hole-in-one at the PGA. With his buddy Nick Watney, they are in 24e location (-17).
