The media and social networks were invited into the Canadian news this week. Ironically, it all started not from Montreal, but from the United States, where a former NHL player started a rumor that Jake Allen was being traded to Colorado. Rumor which bounced back in a press briefing by Allen on Saturday, then at the press conference of Martin St-Louis on Tuesday.
This all led to a lively discussion between our guests, including the point of view of Stéphane Waite, who experienced the other side of the coin when he was a goalie coach in the NHL. “In my first year, I listened to everything that was said about the Canadiens,” admits Waite. Josh Anderson’s performance also caused our round table to react, with Richard Labbé estimating that it is now impossible to revive the broken down big winger. The tribute to Jaromir Jagr and the great success of the outdoor matches in New Jersey this weekend also fuel the discussion.

I think every player reacts differently to that. [ce qui se dit dans les médias]. I have the impression that for our part, as we write in French, perhaps we feel less that.
