The first “streak” of two straight wins will have to wait. Under the circumstances, the time has come to go into solution mode. In this podcast episode Zone exit, a collaboration between Press and 98.5, host Jérémie Rainville asked his guests to come up with their own “cabinet reshuffle”.

We quickly realize, however, that with the same ingredients, there is no miracle recipe. Stéphane Waite observes that there is a certain lack of resentment, grit in the first two lines, with Josh Anderson as the only nasty attacker.
In defense, the upcoming return of Joel Edmundson will no doubt help Jeff Petry, but from there to having the cure for all the ills of the team, there is a step that our analysts do not take. The listeners also come up with their solutions, which our guests discuss. The problems are on the ice, but for many the solutions go through the seventh floor.
Host: Jérémie Rainville
Guests: Stéphane Waite, Simon-Olivier Lorange and Guillaume Lefrançois
Jérémie Rainville: I heard Drouin with Suzuki and Caufield? For me, it’s the best mix of talents for the Canadiens for a long time. Guillaume Lefrançois: It is, but at the moment, I don’t agree with that combination. What I see from Caufield, I don’t see much sign of progress. Stéphane Waite: I agree with you Jérémie, it’s raw talent that is there. My only problem, who is going to get their nose dirty in the corners or in front of the net? These are three players who can be described as soft.
Jeremiah Rainville
Jérémie Rainville: As an organization, do you mean in November, it’s a lost year, with my record of 5-14-2 and I’m up to the Arizona Coyotes and the Seattle Kraken? If that’s what you want as an organization, honestly, we’re in left field. Stéphane Waite: You can’t think the same. It’s a professional team, all you want is to build a winning culture. You can’t think like that, especially when your name is the Montreal Canadiens.
