A children’s novel to shiver in the land of groundhogs-zombies, and to the sounds of metal music!
Zombies in the prairie by Chrysostome Gourio, was published by Casterman (to be read from 12 years old).
For his 17th birthday Maximus would have loved to have a ticket to the famous metal music festival ”Hellfestnoz” as a gift, but in the end he will have to settle for going to a local festival, the ”Brock’N Poche”.
For connoisseurs, they may see a resemblance to the real festival, Rock en poche, in the village of Habère-Poche, a world-famous festival in Haute-Savoie, as they like to point out! But then, let’s be reassured, everything is pure fiction… or almost. Perhaps you will never see marmots with such tender eyes again. Welcome to the land of zombie marmots!

“The gore, fantasy or even adventure genre fascinates me, in any case I like it enormously. And so, it’s a kind of mixture between ‘The Lord of the Rings’, ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and all these zombie films that I was actually able to watch.”
