Their wax figures arrived recently, but if there is one that unites all the generations behind it, it is good Zinedine Zidane. The Frenchman has won everything as a player, whether with the French team or at club level, and he continued in his coaching career.
Huge star, Zizou therefore had the honor of unveiling his third statue at the Grévin Museum this Monday, October 24. A real honor since before him, only General De Gaulle was entitled to such a privilege. It was in 1999, a year after winning the World Cup, that the former playmaker entered this very special museum and twenty-three years later, he returned to Paris to inaugurate the last statue of wax in his likeness. And it is an understatement to say that the result is stunning! To represent him, he was chosen to draw inspiration from his years as Real Madrid coach. The touching words of Nikos Aliagas for the enthronement of Zizou
Present on stage next to his statue, Zinedine Zidane looked very happyas we have seen on the Instagram account of the Grévin museum (photos can be found in the slideshow). In order to enthrone this new work, the organizers called on the famous Nikos Aliagaswho had some very touching words for the father of 4 boys. “Through this lonely hero’s path, even if you are part of a team, part of a family, it is you who is in front, it is you who must carry, it is you who must hold, in success and in trials”said the host of star Academybefore concluding : “It’s modesty she touches me at your place. It’s this modesty that makes you popular. 30 years ! 30 years that you have embodied eternal youth.”
Returning to the Grévin museum with a statue larger than life, Zinedine Zidane has not finished making the French dream!
