Since weeks, confinement been put in place by the government, faced with a upsurge cases of Covid-19. Many trucks are blocked at the entrance to the city due to the many roadblocks, and roads are closed.
Alone delivery people are allowed to circulate in Shanghai, if they are negative for Covid-19. They have to test daily, so many sleep below decks, so as not to return to their residence and take the risk to be infected with Covid-19. In the financial and business district, white-collar workers are working from home, but some traders or bankers have chosen to confine themselves to the office. According to some economists, China could enter a recession because of its zero Covid strategy.
