It will be introduced by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Canada, Chrystia Freeland.
At the end of his speech, he will lend himself to a question and answer exercise. Students will thus have the opportunity to address the Ukrainian President.
The event will be broadcast live starting at 10 a.m. on the YouTube channel of the Munk School of International Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto.
“It’s a great privilege,” said college president Meric Gertler in a statement posted on the institution’s website.
“The University of Toronto has a special connection with Ukraine, and we strongly support all efforts to maintain international peace, security and democracy,” he added.
President Zelensky is expected to speak about how Canada — and Canadian universities in particular — are supporting Ukraine’s effort to survive Russia’s invasion, the institution says.
