The Zaporizhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine is a regularly bombed site that worries the world. Journalist Anaïs Hanquet, special correspondent, took stock of the situation on Thursday, September 1.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was able to visit the nuclear power plant in Zaporijia (Ukraine), which is regularly bombed. The head of the IAEA mission has said his intention to stay several days in the plant. “Rafael Grossi had strong words. He claims that the physical integrity of the plant has been deliberately violated”explains Anaïs Hanquet, special correspondent in Zaporijia, live from the 20 Hours of France 2, Thursday, September 1.

“Nevertheless, the Director General of the IAEA did not point the finger at anyone responsible. He also did not detail the extent of the damage. He nevertheless explained to us that he had been able to meet the staff of the plant. This is important because these are Ukrainian employees who continue to work despite the Russian military occupation”says the journalist.
