The eyes of experts around the world are now turning to the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. She was the target of rocket fire twice over the weekend.
For four days, the largest European nuclear power plant, that of Zaporijjia, in Ukraine, worries. Bombings took place near reactors and high voltage lines, damaging one of them, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense which unveiled images of shells falling in the area.
“The bombardment of the territory of the nuclear power plant by the Ukrainian armed forces is a potentially extremely dangerous activity”, denounced Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Kremlin. In the battle of words, the Ukrainian president, too, alerts and accuses the Russians. The United States has called on Russia to cease all activity in and around nuclear power plants. The UN Secretary General has compared these attacks to a suicidal act.
