As we know, Cyril Hanouna’s columnists are known for their outspokenness. And the host himself does not hesitate to give his points of view even if it means triggering a fight. This is even one of the fundamentals of this successful show broadcast every evening on C8. And this Thursday, September 15, the set of “Touche pas à mon poste” experienced a new big clash between Gilles Verdez and Cyril Hanouna, each adopting a diametrically opposed vision concerning family allowances. A heated debate which had also been initiated the day before… The columnist defended a family of 10 children
who received nearly 6,000 euros in allowances last August, saying: “That’s France that I love, the one that helps poor people (…) I find it great, we help people, well done.” An opinion that Cyril Hanouna then absolutely does not share: “You represent everything that has missed” he retorts, adding: “You do not see that the politics you are doing is politics who led France to the state it is in right now. Stop a little ! At some point open your eyes. When you see families… I have viewers who tell me: ‘We get up at 8 in the morning, we come home at 8 in the evening. On the 15th of the month, we can’t eat, we can’t feed our children when we bleed ourselves every day at work. If we weren’t working, we wouldn’t complain, but we are working.” A clash and a tense climate which continued the next day, September 17, on the set.
“You are sick, worse than in China, under the dictatorship!”
Gilles Verdez attacks: “When one is poor with a certain income, one does not have the right to have more than 2, 3, 4 children?” he asks. And to continue: “If they want to have ten children for happiness, they don’t have the right? You are sick, worse than in China, under a dictatorship!” Visibly annoyed, his “boss” immediately draws: “You don’t live in the right world. It’s because of guys like you that France is failing. You are crazy!” And to conclude: “Gilles, you don’t understand something: a child is a decision of life, of a couple (…) When you have 3, 4, 5 children, it’s such an economic decision. You wonder how to do it. A bigger apartment? I’m going to have to change the car, do more races… Me, I talk to a lot of spectators and I see that they think about everything and are afraid of the future. I have a lot of messages where they tell me: ‘Cyril, I work 10 hours a day and I can’t get out of it’. And you, what are you talking about when you talk nonsense? It’s as if you said: ‘everyone will live in a 150m2 !’ (…) You’re crazy, I swear.“A heated debate which at least demonstrates that Baba seems to have his head on his shoulders.
