2020 – Confinement for all. Stopped in the middle of a tour, Gauvain Sers converted this forced rest into period of intense creativity, questioning our place in society. Thus was born in the spring of 2020, “Your place in this world”, the first song that gives its name to this new album. And then little by little, he ended up with 12 pieces.
On this 3rd opus, the artist poses as observer of the tensions that agitate our society. But Gauvain Sers is also a marvelous screenwriter who, seated on the terrace of his favorite café, is able to tell tender and poignant stories, including about himself.
12 compositions magnified by a famous man in the shadows, Renaud Letang, the producer of Jane Birkin, Alain Souchon or Manu Chao. The talented sound director brings a fresh, modern touch, without, of course, upsetting its essence. A work that responds to Gauvain’s desire toa different musicality so as not to repeat itself.
