“Your language!”, collective work | Duty

While discussions are igniting around our language, the danger that awaits it, the brand new editions Le Robert Québec are launching Your tongue !a poetic collective in which languages are loosened around French in Quebec, its past, its future, its crossbreeding. The work thus takes on the colors of Acadia with Édith Butler, refuses censorship with Stephan Bureau, and wiggles under the pen of Francis Ouellette. It celebrates the promising alliances between indigenous languages and Quebecois thanks to Maya Cousineau Mollen, allows others, like Rachida Azdouz, to reappropriate and accept her mixed words. Twelve authors from various backgrounds share their thoughts on this liberated and liberating language. Everything is led by a David Goudreault who is as fervent as he is humble, as unifying as he is convinced of the importance of promoting our local language in all its sounds, its twists and turns, its colors. A first work which paves the way for a sequel which will celebrate local words. Famous and necessary.
