“You would have been 90 years old”, Jean Dujardin publishes a heartbreaking message, proof that he has not yet accepted the disappearance of his mentor, Jean-Paul Belmondo!

90 years ago, April 9, 1933 was born, one of the greatest legends of French cinema. Her name ? Jean-Paul Belmondo! The actor marked several generations thanks to his roles in films that have become classics: Borsalino At Gorgeouspassing through the Professional or Ace of Aces. But Monday, September 6, 2021, the star passed away “peacefully” at the age of 88, leaving millions of fans devastated by his disappearance. Among them, Jean Dujardin.

The Oscar-winning actor was not just a fan of the sacred monster, since he was a friend of his. “Strangely we didn’t think he was mortal, apparently, yes. Death doesn’t suit many people, but certainly not Jean-Paul Belmondo”had he reacted to the microphone of BFM TV following this sad news. “I’m haggard, I have a good dose of cockroach”. Sunday April 9, the 50-year-old actor paid a new tribute to the man who moved him the most. “You would have been 90”, he wrote in the caption of a photo of Bébel. This little message was accompanied by a heart.

Bébel, always present

The husband of Nathalie Péchalat, on the poster of the film, the black paths on March 22 (an adaptation of a book by Sylvain Tesson in which he plays a novelist who comes back to life after a serious accident, editor’s note) had admitted to Nikos Aliagas in 50mn Inside on TF1: “I don’t think there’s a day that I don’t think of him. It’s always a small remedy […] I think he was taking on the light so much that he continues to radiate. Even absent, he is still present by this light“. Honored by the Académie des César in 2017, Jean-Paul Belmondo had been able to count on the presence of his family and loved ones on the stage of the Salle Pleyel. Obviously, Jean Dujardin was one of those who were present for this great moment of emotion.
