You won’t get my hate by Kylian Riedhof, cThis is the adaptation of the book by Antoine Leiris who lost his wife, killed by terrorists in the Bataclan hall, on November 13, 2015. You won’t get my hate is first a text published on Facebook, a few days after the attacks, which had gone around the world. Antoine finds himself alone with his son Melvin, then 17 months old in the whirlwind of an impossible mourning, the abyss of absence. A huge challenge for the actor Pierre Deladonchamps.

Film shot in the region of the Ukrainian filmmaker, near the Romanian border, where Pamfir, a colossus with a big heart, finds his wife and child after a long absence. To make amends for his son’s mistake, he must, reluctantly, smuggle and confront a local mafia that we guess is pro-Russian.

The characters overflow, the film mixes mythological, timeless elements, which rub shoulders with current issues. Pamfir’s Oath, it is the oath of a better life for which Ukraine is fighting today, here, the picaresque characters powerfully embody this hope.
