In a press release, his lawyers, Xavier Autain and Sylvain Clemenceau explained, the day after this interview, that the continuous news channel had, according to them, committed a fault. In the text, we learn: “During the interview given yesterday by Sébastien Cauet to BFMTV, the channel decided to broadcast yesterday a montage of the exchange of messages attributed, by his accuser, to Sébastien Cauet, this without the most basic precautionnor respect for the presumption of innocence“.
