Summer Festival ticket holders who attempt to rent or resell them at prices higher than the original price of $150 on Facebook pages are facing the wrath of festival-goers.

“I would be ashamed to appear like that on the networks in your place.”

“I hope you stay stuck with your tickets.”

This type of comment comes up more and more often under the publications of a Facebook page for the sale and rental of FEQ tickets consulted by The newspaper.

Several people who managed to purchase four tickets (the limit authorized per FEQ transaction) are offering them for resale at prices of up to $350.

“Why buy passes if you’re not even going to see the shows? You are scamming people,” protested one Internet user.

Sold out

The 125,000 general admission tickets for the Festival d’été de Québec were once again sold in record time in 2024.

On Tuesday, 20,000 passes were sold in five minutes during the Desjardins presale. The rest of the tickets were sold in two hours on Wednesday, at the same time as the unveiling of the program.

Last week, the president and CEO of Bleufeu denounced the resale of tickets in an interview with TVA Nouvelles.

“It’s disappointing for us to see tickets sold at double and triple prices, when our objective as an organization is to keep the festival as accessible as possible,” declared Nicolas Racine.
