The Annecy Dolphins swimmer broke his personal best on Monday while the Italian Thomas Ceccon signed a new world best mark.
He took part in the fastest 100-meter backstroke final in history. The French Yohann Ndoye Brouard finished, Monday, June 20, fourth in this race at the world championships in Budapest. With a time of 52″50, the 20-year-old swimmer signed his new personal best, but had to bow to Thomas Ceccon, who won the world title and a world record! In 51″60, the he Italian dominated a stunning final.
“I’m six tenths off the podium. I have no regrets, I improved with each race, reacted the French at the microphone of France Télévisions. Fourth at the Worlds, I couldn’t have hoped for better. I felt that Thomas was going strong. It’s monstrous, 51″6″he added.
