Yogurts made with Quaker granola removed from grocery store shelves

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced on Saturday the recall of various yogurts and parfaits prepared with Quaker sesame, a product that had itself been the subject of a recall due to fears of the presence of salmonella.

The recall involves as many as 30 types of yogurt and parfaits sold in several grocery store chains across the country.

The products all have an expiration date of January 13, 2024.

The agency said no cases of illness linked to these products have yet been reported.

Quaker Canada announced this week a nationwide recall of some of its granola bars and cereals due to potential exposure to salmonella. The best before date range is January 11 to July 9 or September 7, 2024.

This decision targets nearly forty products of various flavors ranging from Croque Nature cereals, “Quaker Chewy”, “Dipps” and “yogurt” soft bars, in addition to “Délices Capitaine Crounche” bars with berry flavor.

Quaker Canada explained that it made this decision following a recall initiated earlier Thursday in the United States by the Quaker Oats Company.
