Yannick Jadot is not among the 100 environmental candidates invested in Nupes

We now know the names of the environmental candidates of the New People’s Ecological and Social Union (Nupes), with a notable absence, that of the candidate of Europe Ecology-The Greens in the presidential election, Yannick Jadot. The environmental pole unveiled on its website, Friday, May 13, the list of its 100 legislative candidates within the Nupes.

The national secretary of EELV, Julien Bayou, is invested in the 5th district of Paris, his deputy Sandra Regol in the 1st of Bas-Rhin. The party’s spokeswoman, Eva Sas, will present herself in the 8th district of the capital while the treasurer Marine Tondelier will face Marine Le Pen in Hénin-Beaumont (11th of Pas-de-Calais). As for the finalist of the environmentalist primary, Sandrine Rousseau, she will present herself in the 9th district of Paris.

EELV’s partners in the environmental division have benefited from several nominations, such as the patroness of Génération Ecologie, Delphine Batho (2nd from Deux-Sèvres), Hubert Julien-Laferrière (2nd from Rhône) and Cédric Villani (5th from Essonne ), all three outgoing deputies. Several former candidates for municipal or regional elections have been invested, such as Julie Laernoes in Nantes (4th in Loire-Atlantique), Charles Fournier in Centre-Val de Loire (1st in Indre) or Nicolas Thierry in New Aquitaine (2nd of Gironde).
