Yannick Jadot wins the 500 essential sponsorships to compete in the presidential election. The Europe Ecologie-Les Verts candidate obtained 565 signatures from elected officials, according to the latest count from the Constitutional Council published on Tuesday 22 February.
He joins the six candidates already qualified: the LR candidate Valérie Pécresse totals 2,143 sponsorships, followed by the Head of State Emmanuel Macron (1,463), not yet an official candidate, as well as the socialist Anne Hidalgo (1,177) and the communist Fabien Roussel (582). Then come Jean Lassalle (561) and Nathalie Arthaud (559).
