“France will shine when its foreign policy is exemplary in the fight for freedom and climate justice”, he added. “Really nothing to be proud of!” NPA leader and far-left candidate Philippe Poutou also tweeted. “It is scandalous. The contract value for the 80 Rafale fighter jets and 12 Caracal helicopters sold to the United Arab Emirates amounts to 17 billion euros, said the Ministry of the Armed Forces to Franceinfo. It’s a “historic contract” who “cements a strategic partnership that is stronger than ever and directly contributes to regional stability”, greeted Minister Florence Parly in a press release.
