The Julien Bayou affair continues to cause trouble among environmentalists. According to former presidential candidate Yannick Jadot, Julien Bayou, the national secretary of Europe Ecologie-Les Verts, accused of psychological violence by an ex-companion, should put himself “withdrawn” of the party leadership “for the serenity of the investigation”.
Yannick Jadot spoke for the first time, Sunday September 25, on this affair which embarrasses the environmentalist party during the program “Le Grand Jury” broadcast on RTL, Le Figaro and LCI. He said he was in favor of this “that we accelerate its withdrawal”all “for the serenity of the investigation” internal.
A spade for Sandrine Rousseau
According to the account of the ecologist deputy Sandrine Rousseau, a former companion of Julien Bayou would have seized a cell dedicated to sexist and sexual violence within Europe Ecologie-Les Verts after the elected official would have had “behavior likely to break the moral health of women”.
Yannick Jadot, however, regretted the speech of the latter in the media while an internal investigation is underway. “I am not in favor of these personal positions which damage a process that we must all respect”he estimated.
