“Yak” and “Skull”, two board games to escape

This text is part of the special Le Petit D

On the back of a yak in the Himalayas, or in a pirate tavern deep in the Caribbean, these two games will take you on a journey to the other side of the world!

Opening a board game box full of beautiful material is always a party. Yak definitely falls into this category with its pretty carts pulled by heavy wooden yaks, which rotate on a beautiful pastel-colored plateau.

In Yak, you must build the most beautiful tower by exchanging food for colored stones that the merchants transport on their carts. The more stones of the same color your pyramid has, the more points it is worth at the end of the game.

But watch out for the fog that rises when a player has the misfortune to draw a white brick! At this time, the yaks head back the other way, taking the coveted stones with them. A very amusing element of chaos, which constantly renews the interest of the game. Simple and full of twists, Yak will please your whole family.

skulls and flowers

Behind the illustrations in the inimitable style of Skull, hides a formidable game of bluff, where you will have as much fun trapping your opponents as succeeding in your own challenges. When it’s your turn, choose one of your five discs (four flowers… and a skull) and place it in front of you, face down.

You can also issue a challenge and announce how many flowers you will return around the table. But be careful: if you reveal a single skull, your challenge is failed and you lose one of your discs forever. Two successful challenges, and the game is won. A perfect game where we laugh a lot. Take it everywhere for the summer holidays!
