“I aspire to become president of the National Assembly again”affirms Yaël Braun-Pivet on Friday June 21 in Ma France on France Bleu, if she is elected in the early legislative elections of June 30 and July 7. “I am able to bring together the different political forces that exist in our country, the oppositions have always recognized this”she believes.

The outgoing MP for Yvelines, candidate (Together!) in the 5th constituency, also pleads for “a new republican coalition” in the National Assembly, with “the political forces which share the same vision of the general interest”. “We need a coalition to create a political dialogue, we also need to have a dialogue with trade union organizations, we need to better integrate them when we legislate and we also need to have a continuous dialogue with citizens”insists Yaël Braun-Pivet.

Yaël Braun-Pivet assures that discussions are underway, “with Édouard Philippe, with the MoDem, with Les Républicains”. She sends the National Rally back to back “Who says if I govern I will govern alone” and La Fance insoumise “who messes up, who does not respect institutions and the French and who wants to build against, or rather destroy.”

Asked whether Emmanuel Macron has cut himself from the link with the French, the President of the National Assembly responds: “I believe, yes, I deeply believe that we do not consult the French enough”. “It is true that we have often had too much vertical power”, tackle Yaël Braun-Pivet. This, according to her, is what explains in particular “anger” And “worry” voters. “They are furious, they don’t really understand the decision” to dissolve the Assembly, “They don’t really understand the instability and they are afraid for the future of the country, for this France where people talk to each other, build together, despite their differences,” continues Yaël Braun-Pivet. “They are witnessing a France which is in the process of being divided”, she laments, convinced “that we need to reconcile politics with citizens.”
