Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès alive? The surprising confidences of Claire Chazal on the case

Is Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès still alive? This is the question that millions of French people have been asking for more than a decade. We are in April 2011 when the bodies of the members of the Dupont de Ligonnès family are found buried in the garden of their house in Nantes. Only Father Xavier is missing… and he seems to have fled after killing his whole family since he is then seen in several places before giving no more signs of life. Since then, the whole of France has been wondering about the death or not of the father of the family.

Claire Chazal, who presented the TF1 newscast for almost 25 years, has just given her opinion on the case in Sophie-Marie Larrouy’s quirky podcast. Asked about the possibility of living incognito in Spain, she replied: “It’s possible. If he’s in Spain, you have to go.”

The famous journalist then expressed her feelings more explicitly: “I’m sure he’s alive” she launched. She then clarifies that she does not, however, have any information on the case with its many twists and turns: “But it is an institution that is not founded at all.”. Claire Chazal was then asked about her reaction if she came across the alleged murderer: “I don’t know if I would dare to speak to him” she confessed before adding: “But I don’t know if I would recognize him.”

We note that the case has made the headlines again because several people have claimed to have seen the most wanted man in France in Cannes, then in Thailand…
