Xavier de Moulins reframes Emmanuel Macron live: “We heard you…”

Political interventions are increasing in the media as the first round of presidential elections approaches, on April 10, 2022 precisely. After weeks of waiting where the suspense was no longer really in order, outgoing President Emmanuel Macron formalized his candidacy for a second term on March 3. He therefore skims the media to defend his program, combining his candidate’s agenda with that of president in the face of the war at the gates of Europe, in Ukraine. This March 23, he was in front of the cameras of M6 for the 19.45 presented by Xavier de Moulins. The latter had to reframe the politician in the running for the presidential elections.

During the interview, Emmanuel Macron addressed six major points: purchasing power, youth, security, gender equality, energy and the war in Ukraine. Vast questions that led the President of the Republic overflowed over the allotted time, in particular on the stormy subject of the RSA and his controversial proposal for systematized support for returning to work. Brigitte Macron’s husband details his position before being cut off by the presenter: “We heard you, candidate… We heard you…“The Head of State nevertheless tries to end his remarks with a big smile:”If you allow me…“But the journalist closes the debate:”Mr Candidate, I am the master of the clocks here, It is not you. We will now talk about youth.

Confident, Emmanuel Macron must remain cautious. If he can boast today of the intention to vote in his favor, all polls taken together, “the predictive value of polls is nil“, insisted his former Prime Minister Edouard Philippe. “If you hide behind the polls to reassure yourself, you hide behind the void, an image that does not correspond to what will be tomorrow and allows you to think that it does not even correspond to today. It is those who vote who decide, and not those who make, comment or order the polls“, he pleaded during a public meeting at the Nikaia Palace on March 23, 2022. Emmanuel Macron did not physically attend this meeting but he intervened by videoconference.
