“X, Ten Years of Loving Notes and Foolin’ Around”, various artists

Defining the indefinable is a bit what seeks to accomplish Xcompilation highlighting the tenth anniversary of the unclassifiable label French Antinote. Prudently, we will say that his boss, Zaltan, likes electronic music, and more precisely those unearthed on the fringes of trends, but at Antinote, we also like poetry and song, as evidenced by the brilliant compositions of Simon Poligné (Multo Story), Jean-Luc (Trout), by Domenique Dumont (the sound reflections of The good life !) and, well, ex-Montrealer Bernardino Femminielli (Nobody’s Boy – Development Hell Mix), again very Gainsbourgian, at the time Love on the Beat. Elsewhere, it hovers and invites you to dance, from the tangy sparages of Nico Motte at the start of the album to the hard house cadences with Ron Morelli (Tribute), dark electro with River Yarra (famous Blooms) or tribal and experimental at IUEKE (fiano-church). From this surprising compilation emerges the breath of creative freedom that we hope will be just as lively for the next decade.
