WTA Ranking | Danielle Collins back in the top 15

(PARIS) The American Danielle Collins, who at 30 is having an amazing final season, continues her progress in the WTA rankings, at 15e place, thanks to his title in Charleston on Sunday.

After his first Masters 1000 trophy won in Miami at the end of March, Collins jumped 31 places a week ago. In the ranking published Monday, the one won immediately in Charleston (WTA 500) allows it to gain seven more, and to re-enter the Top 15 for the first time since January 2023.

While the announcement of her sporting retirement at the end of the year seems to have liberated her, the American can hope to get even closer to the best ranking of her career, a 7e place occupied in mid-2022, the year in which she reached the final of the Australian Open.

There are also few changes at the top of the WTA hierarchy, still dominated by the trio Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff.

The Greek Maria Sakkari (6e+1) continues to gain, at the expense of the Tunisian Ons Jabeur (9e-3), whose last victory dates back a month, in Abu Dhabi.

WTA ranking as of April 8, 2024:

  1. Iga Swiatek (POL) 10,835 pts
  2. Aryna Sabalenka (BLR) 8045
  3. Coco Gauff (USA) 7205
  4. Elena Rybakina (KAZ) 5848
