(Fort Worth) Russian Veronika Kudermetova and Belgian Elise Mertens won the WTA Masters doubles tournament, beating Czechs Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova 6-2, 4-6, 11-9 in the final on Monday in Fort Worth (Texas).

This is the third title won by this pair, by far the most prestigious after those won in Dubai this year and in Istanbul last year. Together, they had distinguished themselves at the Australian Open at the end of January by reaching the semi-finals, their best course in a Grand Slam.
They deprived Krejcikova and Siniakova of a double at the Masters. But the Czech pair will still have been the most dominant in 2022, with three major titles at the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the US Open.
