writer Salman Rushdie stabbed in the neck during a conference

Collapsed on the ground, Salman Rushdie was supported by those present at a conference, Friday, August 12, in New York State, United States. The British writer was stabbed in the neck by an individual while he was doing a public reading. He was then airlifted to hospital. The assailant was apprehended by the police.
