A 17-year-old young man was targeted while walking with his two friends in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough. Wounded by bullets, he is in a condition deemed critical, “but stable.” ”
The victim and his companions were walking on Laurentien Boulevard at the corner of Périnault Street shortly before 10:45 p.m., according to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM). An armed suspect approached them on foot and fired more shots.
The teenager was injured in the upper body and was in critical but stable condition, said agent Caroline Chèvrefils, spokesperson for the SPVM.
The victim’s friends were not hit by the projectiles. They were encountered by investigators overnight.
There are no arrests in this case and the circumstances leading to this attempted murder are not yet known.
