worried before the European elections, majority activists demand the involvement of the head of state

Despite the commitment of the candidates and the Prime Minister to the majority list, nothing changes in the polls for the Renaissance list. Activists are starting to worry, if not get annoyed, and are hoping for intervention from the head of state.

The applause as if to mask the doubt that is setting in. After a first meeting at the Mutualité in Paris at the beginning of May, Prime Minister Gabriel Attal made the trip to Lyon on Monday May 13 alongside Valérie Hayer, the head of the list in the European elections. The polls follow one another and the majority list stagnates, below 20%, far from Jordan Bardella. The time has come for mobilization, or even to re-motivate the troops.

Because in the warm air of the small, packed room, there also floats fatalism, like that of Dominique who laments: “When we talk about Europe, it’s much more difficult…”

“Talking all the time is no longer talking”

Some people are becoming more annoyed, such as Hossine, a Lyon activist who calls for less criticism and less talk about the results: “Because what we did, we did. And we keep saying that we did it. Today, we have to go into the campaign saying this is what we’re going to do. do now.”

Others dream of the trump card: Emmanuel Macron. Christian, an activist from Ain, must be judged more: “He has the ability to turn the tables. He must at least take the time to do it and not go wandering to the other side of the world.” But how can you be present when the Head of State is multiplying interviews in the press? For Tayeb, Horizons activist from Lyon, the head of state must participate in a meeting: “There, it will work, because talking all the time is no longer talking.”

A missing president and a government that leans too far to the right are complaining from other activists while Gabriel Attal must present his new unemployment insurance reform this week.
