World Series Champion Rangers!

The Texas Rangers won the World Series at the expense of the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday night at Chase Field.

The 2023 major league baseball champions savored major honors in five games, triumphing in the match of the day 5-0. The match was presented on TVA Sports.

This is the first time the Rangers have won the World Series in their 62 years of existence. The club was the oldest major league organization never to win a championship.

The Texan team struggled for a long time with starter Zac Gallen during the final confrontation. The Diamondbacks right-hander was dominant through the first six innings, giving up just one walk and no hits.

However, things took a turn for the worse in the seventh for Gallen. Corey Seager singled and Evan Carter followed with a double. Mitch Garver then opened the scoring with a single that pushed Seager to the plate. The “D-Backs” gunner was then replaced by Kevin Ginkel.

The chain arrives for Sewald

In the ninth inning, the Rangers took advantage of the generosity of end-of-game specialist Paul Sewald to give themselves a much more comfortable cushion. A single from Jonah Heim – and an error from the center fielder – allowed two of his teammates to complete their tour of the paths. Marcus Semien also hit a two-run homer against the pitcher who ultimately gave up four earned runs on five hits.

We must also highlight the performance of the Rangers pitchers during what was the last game in major baseball in 2023. Starter Nathan Eovaldi gave four hits and five walks in six innings of work. Relievers Aroldis Chapman and Josh Sborz then finished the job brilliantly. In total, the crowd favorites managed just five strikes to safety.

Seager is still the MVP

Furthermore, it was Seager who was chosen as the World Series MVP. In addition to excelling on defense, the shortstop had six hits, including three home runs, in 21 at-bat appearances against the Diamondbacks. He produced six runs and scored as many.

Seager became the fourth player in history to win the MVP award twice, having received the honor with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2020.

Among the losers, the “D-Backs” will still have to wait before winning the second World Series in their history, they who had experienced this happiness in 2001. The Arizona team was in a third participation in the ultimate stage of a major league campaign.
