France Bleu Saint-Étienne Loire is teaming up with Jean-Jacques Borne, pastry chef, who has set out to beat the world record for the highest pyramid of macaroons. The 8-meter structure will be unveiled to you on Sunday November 6, 2022 in Andrézieux-Bouthéon.
France Bleu Saint-Étienne Loire supports Jean-Jacques Borne who will try to create a huge pyramid of chocolate macaroons Sunday November 6, 2022 at the entertainment complex on the banks of the Loire in Andrézieux-Bouthéon. To win the title, the pastry chef aims for 8.50 meters “to be certain that the record will not be broken immediately”. According to his calculations, he will need to assemble 20,000 4 cm macaroons. So he needs your help.
To beat the world record for the highest pyramid of macaroons, Jean-Jacques Borne is looking for small hands. He does not want to sign a solo performance but in a group. Those interested must register online to participate in the event and pay 10 €. Then, on D-Day, they will have to bring to the minus twenty chocolate macaroons. They can either prepare them themselves or buy them from a pastry shop. For those who are not experts in the field, it is possible to ask Jean-Jacques Borne for some advice by email ([email protected]).
Sunday, November 6, 2022, registrants will meet from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The pastry chef, helped by two people, will climb on a basket and fix the macaroons one by one on a polystyrene structure created by him. “They will all be pricked with toothpicks. »
Visitors will participate up to 5 €. Everyone can then leave with 15 macaroons.
For the benefit of the PARM association
All proceeds will be donated to the PARM association, which is working on the opening of a restaurant called Chromosome in Saint-Etienne and which will hire people with Down’s syndrome.
