(Prague) Finland scored its first victory at the hockey world championship on Sunday, winning 8-0 over Great Britain.
Oliver Kapanen scored a hat trick and Mikael Granlund provided four assists in Group A.
The Finns were beaten 1-0 by the Czechs in their first match.
Emil Larmi blocked 14 shots. Finland will play again on Monday, against Norway.
The British lost a second time in a row, including a 4-2 loss to Canada.
The Slovaks also obtained a first victory, 6-2 at the expense of Kazakhstan, in group B.
Slovakia will be in action again on Monday, against the United States.
The other matches on the schedule for Sunday: Canada-Denmark, Switzerland-Austria, Sweden-Poland and Latvia-France.
