World Hockey Championship | Canada blanks Hungary 4-0 in preparatory match

(Budapest) Jordan Binnington made 21 saves, Dylan Guenther provided a goal and an assist and Canada defeated Hungary 4-0 Tuesday in a preseason game ahead of the World Hockey Championship.


Defenders Colton Parayko, Bowen Byram and Owen Power also scored for Canada, the defending tournament champion. Connor Bedard and Andrew Mangiapane each provided two assists.

Canada had a 66-21 advantage in shots on goal during the game.

Bence Balizs stopped 26 of 28 shots aimed at him before being replaced midway through the game by Dominik Horvath. The latter gave up twice against 38 shots.

Canada will begin its World Championship journey on Saturday in Prague by facing Great Britain.
