The 20-year-old finished fourth in the qualifying heat, which took place Thursday through Friday night. She is also the only North American to have qualified for the final.

Hosking had to negotiate with significant gusts of wind, which even forced organizers to cancel some events on the men’s side on Friday.

The final will take place late Saturday evening and it will be an excellent preparation for his participation in the XGames, which will take place in less than two weeks.

The Laurentian snowboarder finished heart-breaking fourth in the first World Cup of the season, at Copper Mountain, in December. She had been in third position throughout the race, until the last competitor to start, Querai Castellet, beat her. Hosking is still looking for a first World Cup podium.
