(Paris) A football match is 90 minutes away! FIFA on Wednesday denied rumors that it intended to extend the duration of matches for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar (November 21 – December 18).

“Following certain articles and rumors released today (Wednesday), FIFA would like to clarify that there will be no changes to the rules regarding the duration of football matches for the World Cup or any other competition” , announced the body.
According to this rumor, relayed on social networks and mentioned by several media, FIFA President Gianni Infantino wanted to extend the matches by ten minutes, to increase them to 100 minutes.
