World Cup | Brazilians decorate the streets of Sao Paulo

(Turin) A group of friends from Jardim Brasil, a district of Sao Paulo, decorated the streets with the green and yellow colors of the Brazilian flag in anticipation of the World Cup in Qatar.

“It’s great that people can enjoy football with the World Cup and forget about the elections. The elections are over. Politics is one thing, football is another, ”says Jadson Paixao.

“I think that if this good work that we have done reaches the Brazilian national team, it will touch them, one way or another, and they will be able to win this Cup for us”, adds Matheus Jesus from Souza.

In Qatar, the Brazilian selection will aim for its sixth world title, the first since 2002.

Friday in Turin (Italy), the Brazilian players got the green light from the management for an evening with their relatives and will have to present themselves on Saturday for the departure to Doha, where they must arrive in the night from Saturday to Sunday, a said the Brazilian Federation in a press release.

The Brazilians, the last big favorites to land in Qatar, are due to start their World Cup on Wednesday against Serbia in Group G. They will then face Switzerland (November 28) and Cameroon (December 2).

The 22e edition of the FIFA World Cup, the first ever in the Arab world, begins on Sunday with the Qatar-Ecuador opening match.
