Of the 32 tickets available to participate in the next World Cup, 19 have already been won. These selections, including France already qualified, will compete in the World Cup to be held in Qatar from November 21 to December 18, 2022.
The big surprise so far comes from Italy, eliminated on Thursday March 24 by North Macedonia. For the second edition, the Squadra Azzurra, reigning European champions, failed to qualify for the World Cup.
By beating Turkey on Thursday, Portugal will play in the European Zone play-off final against North Macedonia on Tuesday. The same evening, the other final will decide between Poland and Sweden. The Poles were automatically qualified after Russia was sidelined for the invasion of Ukraine.
