(Beijing) Canada qualified for the women’s Olympic ice hockey final on Monday by overwhelmingly beating Switzerland 10-3 at the Wukesong Sports Center in Beijing.

Quadruple Olympic champions (2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014), the Canadians will play their seventh final on Thursday in as many appearances at the Games since 1998.
Against the Swiss, they left no room for suspense, inflicting on their opponent of the day a 5-1 from the first period, with four goals scored in two minutes.
The second semi-final on Monday pits the United States, defending Olympic champions and other big favorites for victory, against Finland.
