What is BDSM?
Bondage, discipline, sadomasochist are the words forming this abbreviation. A fetishistic practice of domination with a master / mistress and a submissive, practiced with the consent of both parties of course. Masks, coveralls, handcuffs, ropes, whips, riding crops are the main accessories for followers.
Who practices it?
Anyone Can. If accomplished men were rather the benchmark in BDSM, now the trend is reversed. And these are the most curious women at this level. After a survey carried out by the site Dèmonia, specialist in fetish objects, the facts are there: 40% of their customers in 2021 are women, against 34% in 2017.
But they are not the only ones. Young men and women are also increasingly interested in this practice since 18-34 year olds represent 47% of buyers, and 18-24 year olds: 19%. A high percentage certainly due to social networks and in particular the many influencers appearing in very atypical outfits such as vinyl coveralls or corsets.
But it is also and above all the arrival in bookstores of books on this subject. In particular the famous 50 Shades of Gray, Lighter and Darker, which have been a hit, and are still a hit in the film version, on Netflix. A discovery from the beautiful angles, which very quickly made the French want to go further and discover this practice in reality.
Why are they getting started?
Practicing BDSM in closed clubs, surrounded by fetishists is one thing. But the reality is in fact quite different since the majority of people with SM practices do so within their relationship. Realization of fantasy, pleasure discovered, stability in the couple, everyone finds their account!
