The attack took place on Sunday April 24, 2022 during the afternoon, on the train which linked Brussels to Paris.
Two individuals without a ticket had taken refuge in the toilets one of the wagons to escape the controllers. It was a cleaning lady who discovered them when doing her rounds. But an altercation broke out and the two stowaways attacked the 42-year-old woman with a knife.
The train was diverted to Arras to allow the victim, slightly injured, to be taken care of by the firefighters. She filed a complaint against the two individuals who were arrested by the police.
The train finally arrived at its destination 35 minutes late.
